70 ART FOR HAÏTI

70 Contemporary artists are mobilized for Haïti. These nationally and internationally renowned artists have been invited to participate to an auction through the creation of 70 works of art involving textiles, in particular T-shirts as a support, form, tool, theme, concept of creation. These artworks will be on show at Galerie W in Paris from December 10th and will be auctioned the 16th of December.

Secours Populaire Français (SPF), a well-known French humanitarian association, will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2015. The charity mandated the school Institut d’Etudes Supérieures des Arts (IESA) to organize the charity auction 70 ART FOR HAÏTI in Paris in December 2015. The entire benefice of the auction will be dedicated to SPF to fund the daily life of a school and its students in Haïti.

We have established a partnership with Agnès b. and Uniqlo who accepted to provide the T-shirts for the artists and support the project through their communication campaign.

Amongst the participating artists is also Dutch artist Madeleine Berkhemer, who created again a wonderful shoe sculpture, using a white T-shirt and black leather stilettos. More shoes by Madeleine Berkhemer at the Virtual Shoe Museum.
