Maartje Halink

Dutch designer Maartje Halink studied 'product design' at the academy in Arnhem. In the first two years at the academy she designed a lot of different things, from cutlery to furniture and more. Then she started focusing on her specialism: designing shoes. She also started a new study 'the craft of making shoes' in Nieuwegein. Besides designing shoes she also learned to handle the possibilities and limitations of realizing a design.

She did an intersship with shoedesigner Hester Vlamings. Here she learned how to make designs suitable for the industry.
