Stroom footwear

Deborah Kiwi

Stroom, meaning flow or electricity in Dutch, is looking for the tension between guidelines and freedom, functional restrictions and the need to challenge what we know. The two come together in a scheme of smart fabric, which wraps around the foot and a solid heel, which functions as solid structure and icon of the footwear. When not in use the fabric wraps around the heel and is compactly stored in a small container.
