Eiichi Katsukawa

Japanese shoe designer Eiichi Katsukawa moved to England after working for a shoe maker in Japan. He studied shoe design & making at Tresham Institute footware course in Northampton and worked for Paul Harnden in Brighton. After returning to Japan in 2004, he continued making shoes while working as a shoe maker and launched his own shoes collection from 2007. He was awarded ‘JLIA LEATHER GOODS AWARD’ of Japan in 2008 and he was invited as Pop Up Store designer to Pitti Uomo, the largest men’s fashion tradeshow, seven times in a row. Katsukawa established its unique position as shoe designer by creating high quality and design every seasons. He opened the lifestyle service shop ‘The Shoe of Life’, which focuses on leather after service/shoe repair in 2010 at Meguro, Tokyo.
