Platform shoe

Rey Benedict Pador

'I have designed a platform shoe with a thick sole in the shape of a pile of wood. I want to make the man who wears it look taller and more confident. This shoe is not meant to be funny; the platform sole is a symbol of strength'.

Winner Sacha Shoe Award 2012.

Sacha organized a workshop ‘shoe design’ for the master students from the Fashion Academy of Antwerpen. The jury of professionals from the fashion and footwear industry (Walter van Beirendonck, Fredie Stevens, Els Keymeulen, Liesel Swart, Paul Termeer, Maureen De Clercq and Dirk van Saene) chose for it's colorful and creative design.

This unique shoe is produced in a limited edition and will be available at Sacha Antwerp (Feestpaleis and Lombardenvest) and Brussels (Rue des Fripiers) summer 2012.
