Clogs B

Tetsuo Mukai

Study O Portable presented ‘Clogs’ among other products at Royal ArtEZ exhibition, a part of Arnhem Mode Biënnale 2009. Clogs are wooden soles with waxed cotton cords that are woven or bound around the soles to hold the foot in place. One of them uses a weaving technique similar to finger trap to hold the heel in place, while the other version has an ankle strap that’s made from a single rope bound and tightened around the heel.
