Catherine Meuter

Born 1982 in Basel, the designer Catherine Meuter has always had a very profound passion: SHOES. New aesthetics and ways of constructing shoes is one of her biggest interests. This lateral thinking lleads to new exciting fields where innovative ways can be gone.

After a practical training at a shoe designer in Italy, she graduated 2007 as an industrial designer at Fhnw Aarau in Switzerland. The innovative shoe project «EIN/TRITT» provided her a seasonal assistant job at London’s raising shoe design star Nicholas Kirkwood and the concept designer Marloes ten Bhömer. During that time she also developed designs for Alberta Ferretti and Pollini. Back in Switzerland she worked as a stylist at r23, where castings, stylings and set designs are realised for different Art/ Film/ and Advertising productions. Since May 2010 she designs Men’s shoes for Giorgio Armani in Milan.
