Originally being an architect, Jayda seeks to enhance the structural strength of catwalk shoes to make them more wearable. Her method was deconstructing the internal components of the shoe by exteriorising impact on walking gait through exploring structural architecture such as truss systems and load distribution. Aiming for creating a structural footwear collection that combines architectural techniques, traditional footwear making, 3D Printing technology, this wearable footwear collection was produced, in which The sole units and heels are composed of a joint and members cross bracing structural system that structurally utilises Tensile and compressive forces in footwear construction. The sole units convey a relationship of transparency between the shoe as a product and the user where the user is able to clearly view how sole unit elements are successfully connected, and how the shoe as a whole is assembled.

Material: 3D printed nylon, stainless steel, acrylic and croc embossed Egyptian leather.
