Karine Kashukchyan

Karine Kashukchyan is a footwear designer. Her family history is connected with footwear business. Being fascinated by footwear from an early age, she decided to devote to herself to footwear design. Making important steps for her future career, such as University graduation as a shoe designer in Russia, which developed her artist skills, studies and practice in Italy, where she has achieved much technical and construction knowledge as well as various working experience and a course of making shoes.

In 2018 she was awarded the degree of Master of Arts of footwear in London College of Fashion UAL, where she has gained further academic knowledge and professional skills, by presenting a final MA collection.

As a footwear designer she is constantly exploring the sculptural possibilities of footwear. In her design she uses artistic approaches and scientific methodologies to continuously push the boundaries beyond traditional purpose of shoes as well as providing different experiences for the wearer.

Her shoes can define as ‘wearable art object’ that combines aesthetics of sophisticated shapes and elegant lines, functionality and practical role of shoe with wearer, creativity of transformation new original ideas with modern innovative approaches applying in footwear design for a luxury segment market.
