Marlou Browaeys

Architect Marlou Browaeys lives and works in Ghent. In 2020 she graduated in shoe design (SASK) at the Academy of Fine Arts (d’Academie beeld Sint-Niklaas) in Belgium.

Browaeys: ‘My designs are colorful with clean graphic lines combined with 3d elements and architectural heels. I have been fascinated by creative processes since I was a child. Early on I went to the art studio in the cellars of the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, where we experimented with multiple art forms. The point of inspiration was always a work of art from the museum. Later I studied architecture at KU Leuven faculty of architecture in Ghent, a study where creativity and science go hand in hand.’
