Shoe cards with tips and recipes for body, mind, soul and feet
Who am I? Answers to this probably most important question of life can be found in philosophy, in cardholders or – in these 44 shoe cards, with unusual shoe illustrations that illuminate all aspects of femininity. Humorous wrapped wisdom opens up new perspectives and encourages you to let go of ‘old shoes’. Discover sensuous, feminine and effective ways to face the challenges of everyday life in a surprisingly elegant way. Tips, tricks and secrets for women who no longer want to go over and invite more self-esteem.

In this set of cards you will discover lots of wonderful illustrated shoes from the Virtual Shoe Museum, which were used for inspiration, like: ‘Miao’ shoes by Kobi Levi, ‘Crocheted peeptoe’ by Olek, the extreme ‘Heels the Feet’ by Aoi Kotsuhiroi and the Day°Dreamed by Janine van den Bosch. They illustrate feelings like for example respect & empathy.

The authors, both based in Munich, Germany:

Blogger and author Birgit Faschinger-Reitsam
She grew up in a parental hotel in the center of Munich, where she was able to gain intensive experience by meeting guests from all over the world. After graduating from high school, she studied sociology while at the same time devoting herself to her passion at that time, the oriental belly dance, teaching and performing.
After a detour to the real estate industry, she has been a successful business woman in the area of occupational pensions in the insurance sector since 1989. In addition, Birgit Faschinger-Reitsam has worked intensively with yoga, far eastern fighting and energy techniques, qigong but also with wood sculpting, nude drawing and the topic of femininity. She loves to dance tango with her husband, and through her preoccupation with her foot problems, which forced her into an involuntary tango break, found her calling: to combine body knowledge with her ability to write about it. She is a blogger and author. It was probably her preoccupation with her body and the art that contributed to Birgit Faschinger-Reitsam learning to listen and to see. Things and bodies are not pure matter for them. They tell her stories that she curiously questions and explores, rather than dismissing them as fantasies. Her teacher is the language. Be it the deeper meaning of some simply said phrases, be it the body language or the language of things. All this knowledge has flowed into the suggestions and practical tips on the shoe squeegee cards.

Painter and graphic artist, Sabine Paul
Even at school, her works adorned the walls of the schoolhouse. She had a creative career: after the FOS design and training as a photographer, she moved to the United States to study graphic design at the California College of Art and Craft, SF + Oakland. Back in Munich, she worked in Schwabing in an advertising agency. Until 2009, she led the traditional restaurant, Burg Pilgersheim, for 8 years. By the way, she was an independent graphic designer. In the WIRKSÄTTE, her shop, she devoted herself to textile design. Social involvement is important to her, she supports the art forum HMP with her work and implements creative projects at a middle school with her pupils.
Sabine Paul is a picture creator. When you paint objects on paper and canvas, they do not simply depict, they give things a soul. In doing so she approaches a theme with quickly made sketches. After that, she needs distance, which allows her to question her ideas and find the appropriate technique. Only then will the designs be implemented. At the same time, Sabine Paul does not shy away from rejecting already well-advanced works, and then completing them with a new perspective.

The making of Schuhrakel
Countless shoes first needed to be viewed, photographed, analyzed and selected, until at the end 44 meaningful models, with the right message, were found. Most of the shoes, while held in oil on canvas, have undergone a transformation: they have been fitted with new materials, heels and colors. Sabine’s imagination did not stop at feathers, clouds or strawberry-cream biscuits.

Using Schuhrakel
The authors suggest choosing a shoe model that appeals to you and then reading the corresponding description in the companion book. You can use the cards set the way you like it, because in the end it will work out the same way. Because the beauty of such affirmations in connection with a detailed accompanying text is that we automatically feel attracted to the statement that suits us best at the moment. These cards are not Tarot cards: they don’t ‘predict the future’. Affirmations can help us to enrich our daily flood of thoughts with some valuable, positive thoughts. With fortune-telling or divination, these cards have nothing to do.
